Arkansas's first chairlift-served mountain bike park, OZ Trails Bike Park sits at the Bentonville-Bella Vista border, featuring over 20 miles of gravity trails, dining, and large-scale art installations. Prism Design Studio served as landscape architect for the base area and plaza, designing the outdoor experience that connects riders to the trails, the landscape, and each other.

Nestled into a hillside within a dense oak-hickory forest, the plaza balances space to host  large-scale events with intimate nooks for gearing up, winding down, and hanging out. The hardscape design draws from the warm tans and grays of local Ozark stone, grounding the space in the character of the region. Native plantings flow into the surrounding ecology, lighting extends the experience into the evenings, and curated artwork is woven throughout. A warm, inviting Arkansas hangout designed for connection.

What we like most about this project:
If being the FIRST bike park with a chairlift in Arkansas wasn’t enough, the team loves how this project prioritized the outdoor space, balancing high design, humble materials and hard function.
