John Bell Jr. Park gets its namesake from the late John Bell Jr., a local Fort Smith artist who did not let his cerebral palsy prevent him from painting Fort Smith landscapes and becoming a notable artist in the area. His name, paired with the inclusive playground, has established this new park as a family destination park for years to come.
